Stepping Back Into The 90`s

So growing up around the bodyshop as a kid in the 90`s, my father did many of pinstripes. Decided to do it to my 2021 Tacoma, kinda outdated but I still like it. Ordered a black/red to match the TRD Offroad 4x4 decal.

My eyes aren`t exactly good, so I had to cheat a little bit and give myself some guidance.

The body lines are kinda difficult on this truck, but it turned out well for what it is!

I was really outta practice at first so the drivers fender got done twice, but overall I like it. Not a look for everybody though.

Nothing wrong with a do-it-yourself pin striping option that dealers charged $200.00 for.
Looks like you said, 1990`s. Your Dad should be proud of your "inherited" pin striping abilities and skill.

Maybe you`ve just rekindled a "retro-fad" for today`s vehicles and now you`ll be getting all kinds of requests for pin striping!

Wow, this is timely. I have a 2021 Mazda CX-5 in a metallic gray, that`s a nice color, but not a color that has much "pop" to it, so I decided to have it pinstriped/hand painted professionally. So, I took the 55 mile ride to his home in South Jersey, discussed what would look good and I then took an Uber to a nearby mall. Came back a few hours later and I think he did an incredible job. Hand painting these designs is not easy. I asked him when the paint would be dry and said it would be dry to the touch in a few hours, but is still tacky now, so be careful. As I was getting into my car, I closed the door and not thinking for a few seconds, touched/smeared about an inch worth of stripe. Damn it! Of course he fixed the mishap and I was on my way.
Here`s a quick, down and dirty pic taken of the hood in poor light on my phone. Promise you - it looks way better in proper light.

As an aside, he has goats in his yard and I think goat milk is what he uses for his home made Kefir. I have seen Kefir around for years, but never read up on it. I went to Whole Foods and bought a quart - tasted better than I expected and will be buying more soon; maybe even buy the "grains" and make some myself. Funny, how things happen.

Thanks for all the positive comments folks! I`ve done a couple more things to get my truck to the "old man truck" status. :D

Added some Tufskinz mudflaps with the vintage 4wd logo in TRD Red and a Weathertech bug/stone shield.
