Steam This !!!

SuperBee364- Notice the similarities between those two steamers ;) They also bear a general resemblance to the SteamBuggy I mentioned. Those are uttery different in configuration from the one that burned me...the boiler on those isn't part of the thing you're holding in your hand. Maybe they even quit making the kind that I had (and for good reason IMO).

With a tiny iota of common sense you oughta do fine with either of those :D Run off and buy one so you can get so impressed that you end up buying a commercial unit...yeah yeah, I hear you... heh heh I didn't think *I* would ever need a big one either :o

You were right. Looks like the "deluxe" model was recalled:

I've been reading a lot on steamers - here and over on Mobileworks Forum. It's kinda confusing. Mr. Buffet, I watched the 4 minute video on the VX5000, I don't know, but it didn't seem to show a lot of steam coming out the end. I realize they were not doing car interiors but compared to the Desiderio vids - the VX5000 looked week, is that the case?

I just got my VX 5000 and it has 3 pressure settings on the handle. Perhaps the video you saw was demonstrating a lower pressure. When I put the settings on high I blew out the door jambs and it performed as expected it simply blew out the door jambs and all the grease and dirt with no effort at all. I am very impressed

with this unit and as far as the customer service goes when dealing with "Vapor Systems" you will also be impressed. Steve is a top notch person to deal

with and will treat you right if you have any issues at all (unlikely you will).

Joe this might have a obvious answer besides using a apc on really dirty seats is it necessary to ever use a dedicated leather cleaner when using a steamer? or after using the steamer go straight to the conditioner.

I go straight from steam to conditioner. However, given some discussion on proper care of leather a while ago, i wonder if that is even necessary. Clean leather after a steam clean doesn't seem like it even needs a conditioner.

Thanks Todd I might give that a try.

I agree completely. As I noted earlier, we have three of these units. Yes they are the real deal.

Please note: We have experienced 'damage' to leather on a few occasions. We believe it is only related to leather that has been 'redyed', as in 'Dealer Fix'. Watch for color on the towel... It is rare, but just watch what you're doing.

Anybody ever see this kind of unit before. Sounds like it could be somewhat nice to have.

Gaia Vapor Residential All-in-One Steam Cleaner - Vacuum, Steam Clean, Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner

STEAMERS! I have had my McCulloch Heavy Duty Steamer for almost a week. I have used it on every detail since I've had it. I get better with it everytime I use it. For $90 it's a great piece of equipment. For door jams, deep soiled cloth, carpet, door panels. You can beat the time and chemical savings. It has 6 different attachments, even one with a clamp for a micro fiber cloth. With the heated Aztec and the steamer. I have taken the cleaning to a NEW level!

Oh good Lord, that's terrible. Burns are the very worst type of pain, IMO.

Here's the ones I'm looking at so far:

McCulloch MC-1275: Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner ***OUT OF STOCK*** until mid April--Compare to SF-275 Same price, Same accessories. Blue color. :: Steam Cleaners :: Household Appliances :: OnlineWorld.com Wholesale Health and Nutritional Supplements

Top Innovations SteamFast SF-275: SteamMax :: Steam Cleaners :: Household Appliances :: OnlineWorld.com Wholesale Health and Nutritional Supplements

I'm sure they aren't the best around, but I don't plan on ever using one on a customer's car. I've never done paid-for interiors, and I certainly don't plan on it now. :) It's just for my cars, floors, bathrooms, etc.

I have the McCulloch and I really like it! I know it's not one of the big industrial ones but it works perfect for me. The only think I would like different is the size of the tank. When it runs out of water it takes a while to cool down so that you can unscrew the cap to put more water in. Other than that it has been a joy to use! Hope this helps!
