Staying busy during the "down season"

Just like the title says. This seems to be the best place to post this up. I've been detailing for the last 7 years. 3 of those spent in a reputable shop learning the craft. Anyway, I'm in the midst of doing my masters degree but while doing it I would like to get my business growing. I have quite a bit of business (7-10 cars on avg per week) for a one man mobile operation during the summer, without much of any advertising except for a small sign in my parents yard. The problem I've found the last few winters is that business drops off to near nothing during the winter. I live in North East, OH and the winters here are pretty bad, salt, the works and people are usually not concerned with keeping their cars detailed. With the exception of a few garage queens, exotics and other collectors and the occasional soccer mom interior I find myself basically just planning for the warmer weather months. What keeps you guys, in similar climates, busy all year round?
