I was introduced to this site 3 weeks ago and have found that this is a great informational site. i am new to detailing, however i am learn quickly and also like to take excellent care of my car.

I am ready to make a purchase of a DA and products and wanted to get some input on what people thought about what i am going to purchase:

Menzerna Ultimate Detailing Machine Ultimate Shine Kit:

Menzerna Ultimate Detailing Machine Ultimate Shine Kit with FREE BONUS!

German Deep Gloss Combo:

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant

106ff

German Deep Gloss Combo

Clay Magic Clay

Autoglym Engine Cleaner

Stoner's Invisible Glass

Wool Washmit

I have the Meg's Deep Crystal wash that im going to finish off and then look for something new as well as Lexol products for the leather.

What does everyone think regarding my thinking on products?

Do i need to go with the 106ff or can i just go with the Wolfgang's Sealant?

Also i was thinking about getting some 4'' pads, would just getting a polishing pad be suffice?

would P21S wax work over the Wolfgang's?

thanks for all the help to come.

Welcome to Autopia!:bigups

Looks awesome!

Wolfgang sealant I believe is just that a sealant.

106ff is a finishing polishing. So it won't leave ANY protection but will remove swirls/scratches.

I'd order extra ORANGE and WHITE pads since those are the ones you'll use the most out of any of the others.

Also, since your UDM kit comes with IP and FPII. Just use those before getting 106ff. Yeah 106ff may be better than FPII. But you have 32oz of the others and will get some pretty damn good results from.

I'll let someone else chime in on the protection size since I only use Jeff werkstatt's Acrylic Jett Trigger, Zaino 5pro, Nattys Blue, Concorso, Duragloss 951, S100.

I also believe the 6.5" pads you get are sufficient for you. I wouldn't try to do a lot of correction as you are just learning to detail. Yeah, UDM is basically idiot proof, but better to be safe than sorry. So stick with the 6.5" and then maybe down the road when those pads run out. Get the 6 pack of 5" pads from www.danase.com

Also, this is in the wrong thread. Should be under like "Car Detailing"

thanks for the info stiffdog.

my thinking regarding the 106ff was that i could use that after the IP and FPII as a finer polish before going over it with the sealant. the sealant and 106ff come together in the package which is why i was thinking about going with the 106ff as well.

mods, could you move this to the correct forum. i started the topic in car detailing but it ended up in here. thanks
