Starting the business soon...advice?

Well I found the book at the local B&N for $14.95. Seems like a great read with a lot of useful info, although some of the price's are a lil on the ridiculously high side...$355 for a 5hp wet/dry vac...I paid $79 for my rigid 4 gal 5hp at HD, $100 total if you include the accessory kit. I also ordered a metabo rotary polisher and edge 6" pads for the PC DA polisher along with a green 8" edge pad and the adapter for a rotary. From reading here I gather the 6" pads are safer to work with, but I figure I might need a decent cut pad with the contoured edge so I got 1 green to try out. Can't wait to receive them and try them out together, if I like the combo I'll have to place another order.

I can't wait to get out of NJ and start getting the business assembled, I'm excited and nervous at the same time, but extremely focused on making this work.

I'm going to compile a small photo portfolio of before's and afters to bring with me to use as a demonstration of what I can do.

That is very true.

Unfortunately for me I learned that a year and a half into my business.

One bit of advice that I can add to what others' have said, do not try to rush and grow your business. Take your time to grow your operation. Also, do not be afraid of failure, mistakes, etc., with starting a new operation, it's almost impossible not to make a mistake or fail at something with a new business.......the key is not to give up.
