Starting over

A couple of weeks ago I detailed by 2002 Boxster S. Wash, dry, Meguiars Swirl Remover, AIO, SG, and NXT. I want to do it again since I now have a clay bar, PC and Sonus pads. Do I need to use AIO right after washing to get everything off or can I go from wash to clay bar, swirl remover, AIO/SG and newly-acquired P21s wax?

Depends how you do the various steps. I like to clay *so* gently that it won't remove a fresh coat of LSP such as you have on there. So I'd use something to get the existing LSP off before you start over (with the clay). I wouldn't use the AIO as it'll make for less effective subsequent claying.

I'd wash it and then use an alcohol/water mix to remove the existing LSP(s). Then clay it and then polish. FWIW, I'd get multiple layers of KSG on it before using the P21S; I usually notice a significant improvement after the third or fourth layer of KSG but nothing but more durability beyond that. So I'd add a layer of KSG after each of the next few washes and *then* top it with the wax.

Appreciate the advice. Regarding the alcohol/water mixture (never heard of that before), what would the ratio be? Or should I just spill some of my beer to a jug of Sparkletts? :wavey
