Starting Fresh..not what you think

How do I strip the dash and start fresh with new protectant? MY dash (i'm the 2nd owner) has a protectant on it that runs when water drops hit it (NORMAL), however when I go to apply new Protectant it smears and I can never get even coverage.

Try soapy water. Cheap and easy

If you need something stronger, Meguiar's #39 Vinyl cleaner will work as will All Purpose Cleaner Plus.



Why do water drops hit your dash?

Water on the dash, well I ride with my windows down most of the time. Sometimes there is water/condensation on the roof and when I hit the brakes it rolls in...aw f&ck. Swear I'll never do it, again, and forget which causes it happen all over.





Um, my waterspots on my windows are not leaving? I've tried vinager (pure), steel wool and polish. From what I see they are streaks, not "spots," if this matters? Any other ideas?

I would use some clay and if that did not work try some lighter fluid on your glass.

I was thinking the clay would work, also, however it didn't. I clayed it twice today, used a buffer with vinager and then tried to wax them. I'll try the lighter fluid idea. Thanks.

Are you sure they aren't scratches? Do they go in the direction the wipers do? Just a thought...

Nope they are vertical on all windows, looks like lines of water. Might have been parked under a tree or something, don't know, just look bad.
