As you guys in the chat room know, I've been spending a couple of months widening the space on the side of my house. Grading, widening, building a rock wall, spreading gravel, providing drainage, etc.
Well, in that time I've been neglecting my car ('07 Saturn Aura, Techno-Gray). Doing all that work on my days off and in the mornings before going to work I just had no energy left for car care. Hey, I AM 57 years old!
Before all the outside work, my car shined (shone?) like a jewel. I didn't want to go to the swirl-a-matic for obvious reasons, but I was too tired to wash it myself.
Now I'm not happy with the way it looks, or feels. I'm going to start all over, from scratch, when I get back next week from visiting my grandbaby in Florida.
Originally, months ago, I clayed, polished with Meg's 80, then topped with NXT 2.0. Weeks later I put 3 coats of UPGP in about one weeks time, and it looked great. I put Collinite 845 on it yesterday in preparation for the love bug attack driving to Florida and back.
My question is, when I'm ready to attack it again, should I prepsol it all over before claying to remove all the layers of everything that's on it? Or just wash it, then clay, polish, etc?
