Stained trim...

AIO??????????????????? nows THATS something that i have!!! how do i apply it??? with a yellow foam app? also, would it darken the trim?

There is an easy fix: pour some dish detergent in a bucket with water, dip a 0000 steel wool pad into the water and gently rub the area, spray with APC on occasion and you'll have a clean bumber trim.

I have AIO but would not use it b/c its not cost effective. Break down the cost of AIO, say $18 for a 10 oz bottle and your talking about $1.80 an ounce. Better to save AIO for paint.

BE A MAN!!! :-) No need to be scared, if all u do is keep it on the tirm u'll be ok. AIO just seems like a very expensive option.

A little dab on AIO will go a long way. And it works great on trim. It WILL remove wax. Try applying it with a MF applicator or terry app or towel for a little extra grit. I do it all the time. It's not cost prohibitive and more than other products. People say that because a bottle of it is expensive, but a little bit goes so far!

heres a before pic of the trim. i know its not a stain, but it was waterspots. this was a pic from inside the car...

Never said AIO would not work, but its like using a drill when all u need is a quick turn of a simple screwdriver. I was kidding on the MAN comment.

Actually, that's a completely different kind of trim than the ones in the earlier pics. The smooth hard trim on those door pillars should be treated like paint. AIO is perfect for those water spots. The advice you received about APCs, dyes, and brushes applies to the grainy cowl trim and rubberized bumper trim staining issues.

Zesty, Glad you solved your problem.

For everyone else, would using a solvent like miniral spirits be okay for trim? I would think it would make quick work of the stains but I never used it because I was always afraid to ruin it. So basically, what can you and can't you use strong solvents on?
