SSR's are polishes?

I can use them on my new truck as a polish? It doesn't really have any swirls and the color is red...then top with Natty's...will the SSR make it glossier or anything?

I'm thinking the only SSR that you should use for a straight polish, meaning not removing any defects would be ssr1 with a finishing pad, and that would act like a glaze then you could top it with a sealant or go straight to a wax.

yes ssr's are polishes. I would definatly use them on your paint. They will make your car look cleaner, brighter, and wetter. I woudl aslo clay your vehicle.

Would I have to apply them with my PC or will doing it by hand yeld the same results...since I am not trying to remove swirls...?

well it would be easier to do it by pc i think. I think ssr1 would be the easiest to use by hand. We need someone to chime in if you will need to work the product into the paint quite a bit or if you can just do some light rubbing. The pc will allow the product to break down if needed.

Well, I only have SSR2 and 3...and I really wanted to use those because I wanted to do it this week and not wait on an order...

you should be good. Just work in the polishes a little bit becuase I think they need to be broken down. Use ssr2. Make sure to take pics

Do not use SSR3 on a new car! :eek SSR3 is a very heavy abrasive used for removal of moderate scratches and swirls. SSR3 is normally used in conjunction with a machine buffer (either a dual action or a rotary). SSR2 is less aggressive, but should probably not be used on a new car either. If you want to keep to the Poorboy's lineup for a new car, try Professional Polish, Polish with Carnuba, or SSR1.

LOL...I wasn't planning to use SSR3....just stating that I did have it. I know how abrasive it is. Guess I will just have to place an order...you would say SSR2 is too abrasive aswell?

SSR's are Super Swirl Removers-- and since you are not trying to remove swirls there is no need to use them. I think the SSR2 is a little rough for a new car aswell. PWC will be the easiest, safest and yeild the best results with the addition of perfection. SSR 1 on a PC with a few quick passes with a PC would look good aswell. Good luck
