SSR2.5 Stronger Than IP?

Can anyone compare SSR2.5 to Menzerna IP? I am looking for something stronger than IP. Anyone out there used both?

They are both great products. SSR2.5 is more aggressive than DACP. So I think SSR2.5 and IP are comparable.

I was under the impression that DACP was more aggresive than IP. I already have IP, I am looking for a step above that.

I thought the same thing. IP doesn't seem too agressive. Haven't tried 2.5 yet (it's on the way along with a 5 gal S&W), but I bet it is more agressive than DACP. I wonder how it compares with 1Z Ultra Polish?

SSR2.5..from Poorboy's website

"SSR2.5 - Medium Abrasive

Of the three products, I can definitely feel the diminishing micro abrasives in IP and SSR2.5. DACP is milder than both IP and SSR2.5 but it works well also. And the great thing about all three products is that they don't contain any fillers. :xyxthumbs

Hmmmm, well I bought the SSR2.5 as a DACP alternative which was more aggressive than my IP based on the general concensus of the board. Well regardless, I will give it a run when I get a chance and see how I go with it......
 
Meg's Professional series "Light Cut" is slightly more aggressive than IP and DACP.

IP appears to be slightly less aggressive than DACP. I haven't tried the PB 2.5 yet :o so I can not place this product in a polishing progression.



For stubborn blemishes I use:

PC: LC- DACP- sometimes IP (dark colors) - AIO - protectant by hand. Rotary (rarely needed): LC - IP then PC - AIO:

protectant applied by hand



Usually using a polishing pad and patience. A cutting pad would speed up the repair but requires more gloss retrieval work.

yes the 2.5 is more aggressive than the ip it has a little more grit to it but not as much as the ssr3
 
I definitly think 2.5 is stronger than IP. 2.5 is much like DACP but easier to use.
 
Okay, thanks for the input. Now tell me if I should get Menzerna PG, 1Z UP, or 2.5...



I can't make my own decision :(

You can't go wrong with either of one of the three: Menzerna IP, 1Z UP, or SSR2.5. For warmer climates, I think SSR2.5 will be a good start.



However Menzerna PG is pretty aggressive.



What will you be using as your final polish?

are you using a pc or rotory? if your goin pc id get the 2.5 but if your using the rotory id get the pg and follow it up with ip then fp
 
All work will be done with a PC. My final polish with be VM or FP.



I don't know why this is so hard for me to decide on.
