How long do you use the LGCM to "extract" all the dirty water? I've been working on my mom's old minivan mats and they're terrible. I have to keep going over and over and over again, and I still can't get all the brown out.

Sorry to change topic, nice work as usual.

Wash the mats out with a hose - that is how I get the dirt out. Then I use my LGM to get the water out.

i have a rigid wet/dry vac, will that suffice for the lgcm?? ill have to try that water idea.. Ill scrub in some soap and soak em' down... Sounds alright? Not meaning to hijack the thread...

G03X, yep they were CC'ed. I find that acid, used properly is safe on any CC'ed wheel, chrome, even plastci hub caps. Stay away from uncoated aluminum, anodized, magnesium, etc. It will flash oxidize these wheels. A little commoon sense goes a long way with acid. ;)

SilverLexus, I am not into IPA wipe downs, I like fillers. Especially when I know that next week it will be taken through the

swirl-o-matic. Plus, I am a hack. :D

mrecktid, yeah if they are bad I rinse them with water and extract. I do not do Mercedes matts this way as they are not rubber backed. They have a foam like backing that is very delicate. These were fairly clean though, just a vac, then APC, scrub, extract.

SilvaBimma, I am not sure and cannot find a link. I got it for Christmas from my parents. It is a husky from Home depot. If I had to do it again, I would probably get a "snail" type pull along as this *can* tip over. I think it was around $100, not bad IMO.

y0gfx, my process is remove matts and other items, vacuum thoroughly, wipe down/detail ALL cracks/crevice with APC and MF, I use a denture brush to get into the cracks, spot treat carpet, extract, final wipedown with MF just before delivering. I have a ridgid 4gal 5HP vac.

Thanks everyone!!!!
