If this picture loads ok more will come later,

I'm taking a little lunch break and thought I would show you guys the swirls I'm up against.

I started w/ SSR2.5 and a polishing pad but I got Hazing :nixweiss I din't think SSR2.5 would do that. It is my first time using it. I followed w/ #80. I made an improvement but this is going to be one of those jobs where you are just not satisfied.

Well lets see if the pic works:

Are you allowing the 2.5 to break down? I used it over the weekend with a Sonus Orange pad on a black vehicle and the hazing was VERY minimal. Worked the 2.5 until it was nearly inivisible. SSR1 quickly took care of any hazing 2.5 left behind.

SSR 2.5 can haze, but that is usually when i don't work it too long or have used too much. you should be working it until it pretty much disappears. or maybe you might want to try it with a cutting pad and see if it works better. i've tried SSR 2.5 with a cutting pad on swirls similar to yours and it worked pretty well, although some places i had hazing and had to go over it again with SSR 1.

I may have not work the 2.5 long enough. It seemed as if I was though. The swirls look worse than they really are because of the close up pic. The truck is finished, as I soon as I resize some the photos I will post them. In the mean time I guess I need to play around with the 2.5 a bit more. I hear it is great stuff so I would like to use it.

Ok, I finished up using #83 on some panels followed with #80. Some panels only got #80. I used EX-P as my LSP. Truck was clayed, it needed it bad. I ended up using a whole clay bar:mad: on it. I couldn't get "every" swirl and Micro-mar out with the PC but made a huge improvement. Z-16 on the tires and 303 on all trim. In the first pic the side closest is polished out, you can see the line where I removed the tape.

Nice job.

Does the size of your truck wear you out? I just detailed a F-150 Supercrew (clay, SSR2.5, SSR1, AIO, SG, S100) and I was worn out after AIO. Took me nearly 20 hours, LMAO.

TW85- This wasn't my truck, but I do have a F-150. This one and mine are big jobs. This one especially because of the bed cover. I was worn out. Thanks for the compliments, I wish I could take better photos. My camera is a 5 pixel so it should do alright but......
