SSR1 vs. ProPolish

Look at the pad choices..SSR1 should not be used with cutting pads or wool, only polishing and finishing pads...thus it has only minor correcting ability.
Whereas Professional Polish can be used with all types of pads, can be used not only to clean paint but repair it, and has been used to remove hazing and swirls after 1500 wet sanding, which SSR1 would not be able to do.

This does not make sense to me. Propolish says on the front of the bottle that it is non abrasive. SSR 1 is abrasive. Yet Propolish can be used with a cutting pad and SSR 1 can't? How can a non abrasive polish remove 1500 wet sanding marks? If it's the pad doing the work than why couldn't you do the same with SSR 1. I understand SSR 1 is very mildly abrasive but it's still abrasive. Propolish is not. Something is off here.

It comes down to this,

the abarasives would finish down from ssr1 so fast that the pad would interduce more marring before you would be able to tell.

in pro polish the make up of the polish allows the pad to do the work. using the slickness of the product to lube the pad up and allow it to cut.

Interesting.

Holland Patrick, You have obviously used PP, how is this product as a pre wax cleaner to use by hand? I would be looking at using it the same way I use AIO,VM, and GEPC.
I know it doesn't leave any protection behind but how does it work for leaving a ready for LSP surface?

For Poorboy,

Is the new Polish with Sealant the same thing as Propolish but you just add some protection to it and make it a one step product?

To answer a couple of your questions:
1) Pro Polish works best as a paint cleaner with a PC or low speed rotary
2) For Swirl Removal and paint correction , like after wet sanding, the use of a rotary at a decent speed is needed to create heat with a wool or cutting foam pad. As Patrick answered before, the SSR1 can be used with a rotary to do similar work, but it would need to be used at a low speed on a rotary or high speed with a PC and would take much longer.
3) Yes, Pro Polish is excellent to use pre-LSP and especially before sealants as it will leave a squeeky clean surface.
4) No the new PwS , Polish w/ Sealant is a totally new product. We have not decided on it's final look or composition as at least one or more sample versions will be tested before coming to market.
