Well, as we all know the winter is approaching here in the NE :(

In preperation for this sucky event I always do one final big detail to prep her for the harshness, as I am sure most of you do to.

On to the reviews:

SSR1/2/2.5 - These have really become my favorite polishes. I know this sounds so promotional but there is not one single time since using these I have needed anything else. Be it paint, plastic, and even glass the ease of use and the quality of the product is simply amazing.

SSR1 I find to be best suited on things like plastic, glass etc. I also have used SSR1 as a glaze in the past with nice results. This may make no sense, we all know it has no fillers, and no oils. However, I have found that using this as a pre LSP really gives a clean, clear, wet surface. I apply with a white polishing pad via PC on speed 4, work it until it begins to dust, wipe off. All the SSR's break down quickly, and wipe off with literally one pass of a MF.

SSR2 - I have found this to be a very versatile polish for my paint. I did a big detail upon purchase of my new car in the beginning of the summer. I picked up some minor marring over the course of the summer from washing and whatnot. If you need some nice cut, yellow CMA pad, less cut, polishing pad. Used with the polishing pad the surface I felt could not be improved upon any further with SSR1. I usually follow if I use the cutting pad.

SSR2.5 - Same as above, only this polish has some kick. I havent run into anything this polish couldnt handle...yet. This is a F250 work truck a friend and I did. Applied with PC speed 6, cut pad, SSR2.5 I will let the pics do the talking:

Finally, UPP. I have read this stuff is slick, WOW, they werent lying. Slickest product ever, by far. Gave my white POP, which says alot. In low light the car has a glow to it thats almost erie. In full sun I can still get reflections out of the white paint, and more so on the side not directly in the sun. Truly amazing product, my new favorite sealant. I have no idea on durability, but I am hoping someone can chime in for me on this.

Keep em' clean this winter, cheers and happy detailing

nice job!, breakneckvtec, is that just ssr2.5 with a cutting pad in the pics? or did you follow with ssr2 or 1 and a polishing pad? i was thinking about menzerna for a pretty bad black car, i might consirder pb's 2.5. and maybe menz fp for final polish. any tips?

This was just 2.5 with a cut pad in the pics, not followed with anything.

Its really easy stuff to use, almost fool proof, just work till it begins to dust and wipe it off, comes off with ease.

Wow, great job. And a good review of the products too. I just might have to give the SSR line a try sometime.

Can't really tell you how long the UPP will last, as I reapply it pretty frequently. Longer than a normal wax, not as long as Klasse/Zaino. Glad to hear you like it on white as much as I do on silver :xyxthumbs

great job BTW - just got my CMA yellow pad and need to give it a whirl now!!

3 coats UPP (which is the point of no return :lol - meaning after 3 you don't seem to add any more looks) should last 4-6 months - if it is outside 24/7 then maybe 4 (winter included) - My first winter here in NC it was 3xUPP and garaged at night and lasted till spring when I could spread my detailing wings again.

One thing you'll notice is after your first rain storm or wash you will think that slickness is gone. It's not - I use Poorboy's S&W becuase I have reeeeeealy hard water and it films on everything (even the zaino I have on it now) - to bring back the slickness.

If you get the 4* Platinum UGE and use that after washings it will boost the longevity as it has a small amount of UPP in it.
