I'm new to your forum, but here are a few shots of the Orient Express after its spring cleaning. This is a 3 year old Porsche with 37,000 miles.

how did you clean/detail the undercarriage?
 
Are you sure you not a photographer in Car n Drive?

Damn that's one pro shot you got there. Oh, I love air ride Porsche :D by the way. How u do that?
 
Great job on the undercarriage: the only thing you might want to add, something I'm rather fond of, is to polish the mufflers and exhaust componets using a PC or a rotary with a 4" wool pad. I've used Mothers and Meguiars metal polishes for this as well as Flitz. I then typically seal with AIO and SG. Looks are incredible.



:chuckle: that was the time the phone book delivery man saw my legs sticking out from under the car :D

Nice pics!! I cannot wait for my spring cleaning date!!! A lot of new goodies to try with my tried and true foundation!

The lifting system is an piece of surplus equipment that I picked up at an auction at Sandia National Labs. It is a simple single phase dual molonoid synchro-rectovertor. It needs 42v @400Hz to run, but I rigged it up to plug into the cigarette lighter. It can lift an object that weights as much as 4000 pounds up to 2 feet off a nonmetallic surface for 5 hours. I think that it was originally designed to move aircraft payloads around, but it is great to use when working on the car.

I saw that on a Star Trek episode once. They keep them next to the Transporter. :cool:
