Sprayers & Spray bottles

it would seem that any decent garden supply store would also sell plant misters and the like. I suppose a larger hdwe store would have them as well...

I have noticed quite a few people mentioning "Meguiar's foaming spray head".

Is this something that can be obtained separately or is it purchased with one of their products?

Thanks.

at Home Depot , they have a "janitorial" area and lots of cleaning supplies. The downside is that you must buy the bottles, too.

I've got bottles coming out of my ears. :o

I think you can order the totally excellent Meguiar's style spray heads from TOL for cheap $$.

Sears has some empty spray bottles+heads. Your local hardware store will have bottles+heads. Your local plant/garden store will have bottles+heads. I suspect Walmart would have them as well. They are just starting to fill the seasonal area of the store with garden/Springtime stuff...thank God.

After trying 4 or 5 different sprayers and bottle types I finally decided to break down and buy a set from Griots without labels. These costed $6.00ea but should last me a few years.

Biggest problem I had with other bottles is they didn't fit well in my hands and I'd get muscle cramps. I hate getting older! I made my own labels for each bottle. My wife made fun of me for this.:o

Those griots bottle are WORTHLESS they break very easly if you drop any of them thats all she wrote I have the same bottle made of PVC the poly you got will break got mine @ $.88 each / triggers @ $2.00

The test

Do this fill one of an extra griots bottle[if you have] with water to the 36oz mark put the trigger back on hold it by the neck swing from left to right it will snap off the tip where the the trigger screws on to the bottle

the labels are very cool. I'd do the same thing. I've got a bunch of Griot's bottles and spray heads. They have been decent. That long neck isn't great when screwed on to other bottles, the center of gravity is too high and they tip over all the time.

I find the fine spray pattern of the Meguiar's spray head to be superior to the Griot's and it doesn't have such a long neck.

I know, picky - picky.

While we're on the subject,

"2oz" is an amount that seems to come up a lot in detailing; "2oz of QEW per 2 gal bucket", "2oz of #00 to 2 gal water", "2oz of product per car". Or, if you want to pass out samples, 2oz is a nice size.

Go to Michael's craft store. They sell 2oz flip-cap bottles for 50 cents or something cheap like that.

My #1 use for these is to keep from using too much product. I'll put 2oz of MPPP in a bottle and do the Malibu, for example, and try to have a little left over. Or one 2oz bottle of SG should do two cars.

They also have 4oz pump spray bottles that shoot a very fine mist; I've heard some people here say that they like a fine mist for FD. I think they are .79 each.
