Spot Removal Help!

Ok so I’ve got a few of these milky white spots on the inside vinyl trim of both my drivers and passengers side doors. I believe they may be the results of dried window wiper fluid based on their dry pattern and location/ proximity to the windshield. In the past, I’ve tried to remove them a couple of times with no luck.

Here's a close up of today's target:

Since I was doing a full interior detail I figured I’d try a few different interior cleaning products.
Each product was given a quick shake, sprayed directly onto the spot, and then rubbed vigorously with a green general purpose MF.

First up, my new favorite Detailer's Pro Series Total Interior Cleaner:

Microfiber in action:

And nothing, spot remains defiant:

Next up 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium:

Same result, no change:

Next up OPC at 3:1

Still nothing:

Before I step up to OPC at full strength and more aggressive brushes – I wanted to get suggestions on what else I could try?

Thank you in advance for the feedback!

Looks like someone sneezed a booger. Increase the strength of your apc and use a stiffer brush. You could also use a magic eraser if you do so gently

You might also first try an adhesive remover. Some boogers stick like glue

Haha, never thought of it as booger but yeah it's in the right general location. I've got 3M adhesive remover I could try. Magic eraser would be a last resort - least aggressive products first...

That textured vinyl is extremely durable. BMW?

I wouldn't use the Magic Eraser on that...it contain Clorox which can remove the color on the panel. I would also suggest not spraying any APC directly onto the panel that can also cause spots to form from discoloration of the panel...that said I would spray some APC on a towel and let soak on the area for a few minutes, then use a stiff tooth brush to work that area...watch to see if you are lifting the stain.

Good tips. Thanks! I usually spray cleaning products on a MF first and then apply to the problem area but in this case I sprayed directly since I've had so little luck with the former method.

Try "wetting" it by laying a damp microfiber over it, then using a toothbruth or similar soft-nylon brush to agitate it and loosen the material.

Totaly agree with this. You could also use warm water when diluting an apc to help open the poors, and loosen the gunk even further.

Thanks, Todd! So I'm clear - rest a damp MF over the problem area and then agitate the spot with a tooth brush through the microfiber?

Good idea, hadn't thought about water temp when diluting out an apc. Makes sense.

Very clever responding to each of us induvidually. You've increased your chances of winning The Kuhuna 500% :bigups
