Spot pad warping?

I had the 4 inch yellow Sonus spot pad and used it this past weekend on the G35... Before that I only used it on a few spots on my other cars... I used it all over the G35 due to excessive swirls/scratches on it... It did revive the paint, but the pad became "warped". I used it with SSR2.5 at speed of 3 and working up to 5-6 on certain spots. I did not apply pressure and let the pad/polish/PC do the work...

Is there anything I did wrong?

I did email David asking about this and he promptly sent me a new one :bigups:...

Never heard of this happening , perhaps you should email David back and ask him about it .

Yeah, I assume this is from using it with a PC on an entire car. I only use a PC with them for spot jobs. I do a whole panel/car with the Cyclo.

Warped meaning out of round and perhaps a bit lopsided? I've used mine on speed 6 on the entire car a few times, with no problem. They do sort of lose some shape if they are squeezed for a long time and left that way.

Try washing them out for a bit and them let them air dry. Might bring back the shape.

Though I have regular LC 4" pads and not the SFX pads.

Thanks guys for your responses, I had emailed David and he thought it might be defective. He did send me a new one free of charge :). I did wash it a few times and air it out, but to no avail. The center of the pad has been pushed down basically both on the pad side and velcro side. Here are pics of the pad after I had finished(pre washed), it looks the same cept it is clean now.
