What setting does eveyone use when applying/removing/polishing etc. when using the PC? Does the speed matter based on paint condition product step or what??
Thanks.

Guten Morgen herr Balucanb, wie geht as Ihnen?

Anyhow, I set mine on 4.5 to 5.5 for most polishes. I use the higher speed for the more aggressive polishes. For applying waxes/sealants, I run it around 3 to 3.5. Still do all my removal by hand.

Sorry, my German is kinda rusty.

How can you spend that long in Germany and not atleast pick up on some of it. Isnt immersion supposed to start taking full effect around 3 months after starting.

Actually I'm fluent in German but... I have been here for around 10 years or half my time in the Army plus my wife is German so I have lots of oppertunity to speak it. Unfortunitly though most Americans that come here and stay 2 or 3 years (in the Army) never pick up on it, it is sad really because they miss so so much. I know it can't be that hard to learn because I learned it and I am about as smart as a box of rocks!!!!:p

I dont know it all that well, I just try. I plan to spend some time in some foreign countries (France, Germany, and Japan specifically) and i want to learn as much about their language and culture as I can.

That is great if you have the opportunity!! It has been my experience that even if you can't speak a language well, if you just try the people that do speak it really appreciate it. Understand when I say fluent I don’t want anyone to think I speak like a native I just mean I can go pretty much anywhere without any fear of not getting what I need even if I have to use hand and arm signals!! LOL.

Threadjacking again. Tass you're going to get yourself in trouble again. Don't respond to this post.

Boss spit out the good answer first. Leaves little for the rest of us to add. I tried the higher settings the other day and all it really accomplished was to vibrate my hands a bit harder.

Natty, you only need to know one word in German...bier! LOL! Oh, and it helps to be able to count to 5 or 6 so you can order multiple biers for you and your buddies.:D

I spent 3 years in Augsburg and all I managed to accomplish was to hack up the German language (I'm not a linguist, Balucanb:rolleyes: ).

Im not a linguist either, in fact I bet I butchered it up above. Either case, I would love to go spend some time in Germany.

However, the speed settings vary. I would sudgest reading through the different paint guides at http://www.properautocare.com they have recommendations for different pad sizes, products for different situations, methods of applying, and so on. Its worth a read, they are under the "Problem solving" on the side.

Thanks everyone. Tass I guess I will read that because the set I just recevied, Well the yellow pad ripped the heck up tonight so I must be doing something wrong. I think they are supposed to last longer than 1 detail right? LOL

Yep they are I only had mine rip once when I accidently caught the moldeing some how and the bad got stuck in there other then that never.
