Souveran on top of Z-2?

Hi folks,



I really like the very high gloss of S, but being carnauba, and it being summer, it does not last long at all, which concerns me with UV protection on my red/black vehicles.



I currently have multiple coats of Z-2 on. Long lasting UV protection and good reflection. Has anyone ever put S on top of Z-2 to get the ultra high gloss along with the lastin protection of Z-2?



Would this be similar to folks who put S on top of Klasse?
 
There a few threads on this subject you can search for. The bottom line though is that it’s not recommended by those who have tried and doesn’t seem to work like topping Klasse or BlackFire.
 
Well, you'll lose at least 2 things adding carnauba over Z. One, the ability to easily add more Z without using DAWN soap or some other cleaner first, and two, you will compromise the optical clarity that Zaino was designed for. If neither of these are important in your case, go ahead and give it a shot. I found very little, if any, benefit from using carnauba over Z. In the long run, I think it's best to stick with one or the other and not mix things, especially in the case of Zaino. After experimenting a bit, I found that the shine of many coats of Z2 and Z5 is just as good. or better actually, than any carnauba I've ever used on my paint. YMMV...



Klasse and Blackfire weren't designed to be optically perfect, thus the reason carnauba works better as a topper, than with Zaino.
