Souveran Liquid Wax

I think the LS is great also, spreads easily and comes off just as easy it leaves the surface much slicker than s100/#26 or others i have tried and leaves an outstanding wet look, especially on metallic paint. My local Honda dealer has it on sale periodically for about 11$ a bottle, they actually carry quite a bit of Pinnacle products. Although I find the durability to be rather poor, how long does the LS last for you guys? I would assume that it does not have any cleaning abilities, is it okay to layer or would that be pointless?

Everything I've ever read from Pinnacle says it has no cleaning properties. I've seen tests that show otherwise, but those aren't always conclusive. By the time I use Liquid Souveran on a car I've already done my layers and its just time to wax once a month. I do layers with sealants and use wax to keep it looking fresh. I haven't seen much advantage in appearance with layering waxes.

Anthony-I *sort* of agree with you about layering waxes. Not much change head on but I've noticed at an angle the paint seems to shimmer 3-4 coats of carnauba on them. Applying 24-48 hours apart and washing in between seems to work best. YMMV.

scottwax where have you found the paste wax on sale? I've searched high and low and can't find it for less that $65.

Interesting- Iâ€â„¢ve never found Souveran to exhibit any cleaning properties, could they be from the applicator (foam, terry cloth, etc) or the solvents?

I think the sales were last month. I don't think there is a sale right now. I was at www.pinnaclewax.com yesterday and they still had there promotion(Free bottle of Pinnacle mist and MF towel with the purchase of Souveran) on their site. I also saw two slightly used jars on ABay(Autopia's Ebay, so to speak.) for $50 and $55 shipped.

Brad E did a test some time ago with magic marker on a washing machine. The LS was able to clean the marker off. That's not saying that regular spit wouldn't have done the same thing, but everybody seemed to ooh and ahh that LS might have cleaning properties. Personally I think the cleaning properties are limited to normal liquid friction. Brad's experiment was a good one, but I'm not sure if marker on a washing machine is conclusive enough to tell me that it has cleaning properties beyond what any liquid would have. Like you say, Jon, its probably just the solvents or applicator.

there was a sale last month at autopia-carcare.com

it was on sale for $48 and with the AUTOPIA coupon code, it brought the price down to $42. I picked up a jar right away at that price.
