I'm in north carolina. I was wondering what do you normally charge for a cleaning? most of my jobs are the following:

rinse vehicle
wash vehicle
clean bugs and tar
clean tires and wheel wells
shine all exterior and tires
vaccumm
clean interior and apply shine

I charge $30 for all vehicles. If they want a wax i charge $45. what do ya'll think? i did 5 vehicles yesterday and it took me about 6 hours. made $125 minus gas and product.
 
Sounds to me like you might be cutting yourself short. I am only an enthusiast detailer, but the vehicles I have been paid to do - "wash & wax" jobs - I have gotten at the minimum $60, and that's a basic wash & wax. I'm in Alabama if that might make a difference, although I doubt it.
 
I think the price for the wash only looks fair. The $45 for wax does seem a little low, but it also depends on the area you're in and what others are charging. If you made $125 in 6 hours that comes out to be around $20 an hour. Then take away the gas and product cost and its lower than that. I'm in Georgia which is not too far away and the average price for a wash/wax here also starts around $60. If you provide quality work they want mind paying for it. Good Luck
 
for what u have listed 30$ sounds fair.....but for a wash and wax i would charge at least 60 and more for larger vehicles......i usually do a full detail for 100$ on small cars which takes me about 3 hours....i think u should think about raising ur prices becuause u have to remember the time it takes u too get there and the gas u spend....especially with the gas being so high.
