Am I the only one that seems to have a problem with getting cleaning products on the black rubber trim of the car. The most fustrating is when you get wax on it.



Anyone have solutions to this problem?

If you are a perfectionist, tape down your trim before applying the wax (I believe thats Brad B.'s method). I'm not to that level yet, so I just make sure I own a product that will remove the residue. EF-HI works great, but there are other household remedies such as peanut butter that can do the trick... do a search on peanut butter and you will be surprised

I tried the peanut butter method last week for the first time and it is like magic. Nothing I had tried previously did anything to get rid of the wax on my trim and bumpers.

Just wipe it on and wipe it off, nothing to it.

Yep... try peanut butter. Klasse AIO works great on trim after you cleaned it with PButter.

Hi, I just tried the peanut butter approach. Of course the kids laughed the whole time. It worked so much better than I could imagine. Great idea except for the smell.

I tried peanut butter once and it worked OK, but not great. Has anybody just used peanut oil?

just break down and buy some ef-hi. Great stuff with lots more automotive uses than peanuts...

What does EF-HI stand for? I need to get some of that stuff.

ef hi = Eimann Fabrik Hi Intensity all purpose cleaner. Go visit CMA (the site sponsor) and buy a gallon. Fun stuff - just don't mistake it for a QD like I did

If anyone is in driving distance to these two cars shows it will be worth you wild if you a car nut.The first one usually turns out around 800 or more cars.

I would love to live there! Our car show "season" lasts from April 1 to October 31. During the winter all we can really do is work on our cars!

Thanks Dave didn't know that.Guess it is like the one on Friday nights at Tower Shops off 595 They bring in anywere up too 400 plus cars on Friday nights
