I may have a quirky ISP (Starband) but this site has been a-crawlin' as of late.

I haven't had a problem. Are you using a dialup? Are other sites slow or just this one? Try going to start>run> and type ping www.autopia-carcare.com it will give you a number in milliseconds as to how fast connection is. Try it and post the results.
 
I get 98ms from Chicago on a Cable modem that regularly specs at 550 to 750 kb/sec according to CNET's bandwidth meter

It has had its slow periods this week, but we have to remember that this is a free board that DavidB is paying for out of his pocket for our benefit!

Words such as these lend one to believe that you do not apprecate all that our hosts have done for us. I'd seriously re-think what you have said.:rolleyes:

I agree 100%. DavidB puts a lot of time and $$$ into this board, and he does not have to do that. I love this forum, it is the only place I have found where us detail freaks can talk to each other and not have to put up with flames. David does a great job, and if it runs slow once and awhile...........oh well.
 
I suspect the problem was out on the net and not with the Forum. Its running fine now.



Cowboy, you have created some great posts and you are an asset to the forum. I have enjoyed exchanging ideas with you. I am sure you meant no offense, but Iwould like to respectfully share the idea that words like "if you have any decency man" can be taken the wrong way. As I am sure you have seen, we take great pains on this forum to avoid personal remarks (except for complements!). Based on your earlier posts, I am sure this was just a fluke, perhaps during a time of frustration.
