I have only seen the first season on a DVD set, If they wernt so darn expensive i would have some more. I dont have HBO either.

I watched the season opener. I dont think I will be rushing home to watch future episodes. It was ok. Not like season 1 & 2.

Wouldn't miss it for anything. In fact I already watched it and also the New show Big Love which appears to be good also.

Just watched the 1st episode and noway can i beleive Tony Soprano is gonna go this early in the Show..Actually i'm still in morning over Adriana..

It's 542 in the am and I'm too tired to watch the Sopranos.I think I've seen the first 3 seasons. I love it but obviously I haven't been keeping up. What season is this?5?

I have 5 seasons on dvd and started from the begining about 3 weeks ago I am just starting the second disc of season 5 which I have not seen any of season five. I here this is the last season for the sopranos, bummer I like the show. season 6 here I come once you are out...lol

LOL, Joe, Tony isn't going anywhere! It was interesting to hear Tony say to AJ that you can only trust your family and he winds up accidentily shot by confused Junior

I've watched each episode religiously since season 1 and was front and center for the premier last night. It certainly didn't disapoint! Excellent opener. Its a great show - awesome acting, story lines and character development.

Since I'm from Jersey, its neat to see all the Jersey references. Whenever I drive home from NY City, I travel the same highways as Tony in the show opening. All I need is the cigar!

I've met James Gandolfini twice on the streets of NY near where I worked. The first time I said hello and told him I'm a big fan of his work. He gave me that evil Tony smile, cocked his head and said "Thank you, thank you very much."

The second time I met him, I stood on line in a deli with him waiting to pay for a sandwich. He was holding a Gatorade or Snapple. He had a burly beard, dressed a bit sloppy and looked totally hung over!

O that is a definate no miss. My TIVO is taking care of me in that sense I dont plan o missing it this season. Forget about it!

I'm with Seth, living in the immediate area of where they do a majority of the filming is pretty cool. I know a couple friends who's houses or blocks were used for the show. I actually know a kid who went to my mom's school was on a couple episodes of the show. Unfortunately I'm not completely up to date with the show. I just started watching it from the 4th season on. Last nights episode was interesting, and had reoccuring themes, I think it also showed a lot of changes are to come. Should be a very intense and funeral-filled season if you ask me.

I don't have HBO either and thus didn't see this episode, but from your description, this doesn't hold a candle to the irony that was Tony whacking his cousin (and childhood friend) Tony.

Yeah, and I doubt Gandolfini is going anywhere.

Give it time this only the first episode. If i didn't have HBO for anything else i definately have it to watch the Sopranos.

Spilchy im surprised you let Tony get away with that Smirk,You Guys from New York are Tuff. The Chicago Paper had a write up today on how real the sopranos come across and quit surprising their is a lot that would hold true if their was a thing called Cosa Nostra :) . The person that was interviewed happen to be the fed who penetrated the Mob for 6 yrs ,Some may know him as Donny Brasco. Listen to this,he beleives that the producers are getting inside info in order to keep the program as close to reality as possible..

I know alot of the stories are based on facts from past real life situations. To bad this is the last season so I have heard, and Tony will stay till the end as I heard there will be a movie being made.

A movie about the Sopranos?

For those who care: The Soprano's Episode Two.for the one's who missed last week don't be surprised to see Tony shot and wounded. A little gift from Uncle June after experiencing a bout of confusion, or is faking so he won't have to stand trial  ..

Well i saw and interview with the guy who plays Uncle Jun and I truly hope his Freudian( spelling) slip is not true.
