Sonus SFX System

I, along with seven others, have the complete SFX line on the way for reviews. It is comparable to Poorboy's SSR line.

I'm anxious to try it. I've only used a couple of Sonus products but I have liked them so far.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering mainly how it compared to Menzerna polishes. Does SFX-1 have more cutting power than Menzerna IP? Does it go like this?

SFX-1=Menzerna IP w/LC yellow pad

SFX-2=Menzerna IP w/LC orange pad

SFX-3=Menzerna FPII

I'm assuming that would be the comparison, although nothing can really compare to SFX. What I'm wondering is if SFX-1 is too much cutting for just removing swirls, but SFX-2 won't get rid of heavy swirls, so I'd need something between.....

Does your father have a 4runner? I think I know him from back in the day...weird.

It's on the way to my house. I'm going to use it on a Lexus GS in black I did over the weekend. It had some deep scratches and I need something more aggressive than SSR2.5 which did an excellent job in its own right...

I will post a review and before and after pics. :)

Well, after calling Peggy, I've decided to order Menzerna Polishes AND the SFX System to try out. She said that most domestic and Japanese cars can be a little easier with Menzerna (sans Corvette) but the SFX System would be more appropriate for BMW, Merecedes, etc. because of their clearcoats.

Thanks

Deleted because post was mean.

I've got 2 of the SFX1 pads (cutting pads) on the way right now. David Ostroff (co-owner of the perfect shine) took care of me when I had the problem with my LC pad. When I get these pads, my mom's trunk is getting some work done :D . I'll be sure to post a review after I use them. The construction of them sounds very cool.

Greg,

Now I don't know how much time you've spent on vehicles or which products you own, but that was a little mean considering that she has quite a bit of experience and has tried products from multipile manufacturers. She told me that from EXPERIENCE, and I trust experience.

She sounded extremely knowledgable so I trusted her. If it is a load a crap, I'll find out for myself, but until then I'm going with professional advice.

Thanks

Carl

Ok. :)

Why would the Menzerna polishes be better for Domestic and Japanese Vehicles? Just wondering. Menzerna was designed for OEM german finishes weren't they?

Thanks, curious mind at work :D

I apply Menzerna IP and FPII on my '02 Audi with my PC. Seem to work well. That said, it's my understanding that Menzerna polishes work best with a rotary buffer.

How would you know if she had actually used the polish before? She might have been one of the people who helped test it out :nixweiss

She didn't say the SFX System would work well for certain situations, she was just saying that one product usually doesn't work for all situtations and cars, so if I had an alternative (1Z or SFX), it would be easier for me to adapt to different vehicles. She never came out and recommended SFX.....but she does work for autopia so she did say it would be a product to watch.
