How does everyone here rate these polishes? I have found them pretty good. I am a newbee so looking for suggestions on other lines to try.

Honestly my experience with them was pretty disappointing. I tried the SFX-1 and SFX-2 polishes in all sorts of combinations for different situations, but they never really seemed to be effective. Dusting was also a problem, as I would find myself having to wipe down all the dust that was created by them.

I have since gone to Optimum and am more satisfied.

Im with truzoom. They just havent worked like they are supposed to for me and I have tried different pads, speeds, and techniques and just havent been able to get the results I want....

I would agree on the dust :bawling:

I believe I used the newer, less-dusting version and still had quite a bit of dust.

I believe I got SFX-1 and SFX-2 during a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale at one of Autopia's sister sites.

I've used the new formula of SFX-1 with a PC on a DAS orange pad for some problem areas and haven't run into too many issues. If you're looking to take two passes to pull out heavy defects, SFX-1 is not likely going to be your go to polish. While it definitely dusts less than the older formula of the SFX polishes, it may not be the best to polish out an entire vehicle. Since I've done spot treatments, the dust issue is pretty manageable, but YMMV.

i just used them and for some reason it would only dust at random moments and other times it wouldn't

i used the sfx2 with the sfx2 white pad

Dusting was the issue. From my experience SFX-1 works in too fast where I would have to reapply more polish just to work it in extra. As for swirls and waterspot removal, it's pretty minor, which I had to step it up to a 3M product or Menzerna.
