Priming the pad helps with initial lubrication, keeps the pad from soaking up so much polish, and keeps the polish from drying out too fast. May cut down on dusting if you're having a dusting problem.

After reading about the SFX-1 coupled with the 4inch spot pad, what is the abrassive level David? Is is similar to SSR2.5 or more aggresive?

I have not used PB SSR2.5, so I cannot comment specifically. SFX-1 was designed to remove 1200 grit sanding marks and restore gloss to a moderate level. It will effectively remove most scratches that have not penetrated the cearcoat with only modest loss of gloss, which can be fully restored with SFX-2.
 
Sounds good. Love the V1 SFX's. They stand proudly among my 40 brand collection of autopian products

And I don't care what it costs me for shipping. david's method of shipping may be a bit more expensive than others but there is insurance, it arrives real quick, can be tracked (i think) and if the parcel gets lost in transit, it's his problem, not mine.

Definetly dried to quick. Especially when your trying to work with #1 getting out 1500 grit sand marks. Took to long using it to get the results. Sometimes not even working as quick as Autoglym Paint Renovator. I really liked #2 and #3! #2 for the control of removing swirls, because it didn't remove to much but enough. If you keep up on your car #2 is great twice a year polish, or #3.

Man I can't wait for the new version. I'm almost out so I hope it's soon!

I think he has it set to be released around the end of this month.
 
i have barely used bottles of SFX1 and SFX2 and an unopened SFX3... They were terribly hard to use. Can i exchange for version 2? I barely bought them 2 weeks ago.
