Sonus SFX Pads: Anyone Using Them?

In all of the postings I've read regarding pads, I have seen almost no one mention that they use the Sonus SFX pads. Is anyone using them or have opinions of them? They seem a little pricey compared to other pads from LC and such, but I'm wondering if they're worth it.

It depends on the hardness of your clearcoat. I used the white sfx2 pad on my 98 escort and it got rid of the swirls after a couple passes but it couldn't remove the minor scratches. You can get three LC pads for only a little more than it costs for one sfx. Some of the more experienced board members will chime in too.

I deal with mostly soft clearcoats so I am a big fan of the SFX line. Also the DAS line. But I don't have to deal with too many hard clearcoats. I feel like the LC pads do a better job with them. But I love the Sonus pads, especially the yellow. I can use that with many different polishes for many different reasons.

I have to assume from the lack of response that most people don't use Sonus SFX pads. Are they too pricey or do they just not cut it (no pun intended)?

I just used the new red SFX finishing pad. Its awesome. I find it to be much nicer than the LC black or the Megs 9006.

I use them and like them, but they're all I've ever used with my pc so I can't make any comparisons for you. I purchased a kit of them (2 of each grade and a backing plate) when I first got my pc and haven't had to replace them yet. Although when I do, I'll probably switch to the edge system if I stick with the pc...still toying with the idea of getting a flex, in which case I'd probably stick with the SFX pads since I have no complaints and they're holding up extremely well.
