Sonus Detailing Spritz Problems - Help

I'm not sure what all of the sizes it comes in are, but mine's an 8 oz bottle with a pump spritz bottle. Very sparingly, spray a section of a panel at a time and then wiping it down with the MFs helps me quite a bit. With QD, a small amount goes a long way. This 8 oz pump bottle can do a nice job dispensing a small, but effective amount. If I notice any kind of streaking I immediately cut back during the next pass.

I don't know if this will solve your issue but it's worth a shot and is a good general practice.

I have the larger one in the old AS/CS size bottle. Cheers Bill - Will try and vary the amount to see if that helps. I have noticed with this when spritzed on the first MF pass seems to spread it around like a spray on sealant?

Yeah, I noticed that too ( IIRC it does have qualities of a spray sealant) but it seemed to diminish once I cut back the amount I was spraying--better results.

I am using the same amount as I use for Cyrstal Mist or Carnuba Spritz, thinking maybe this is too much in the case of the Detailing Spritz then.

The nice thing about CM and CS, in my experience, is if you do use a bit much than would be called for with other QDs, it "forgives" as you can buff with the MF working the product in. DS seems more stubborn about this and seems to respond better if less product is used, to me.

I tried some parts spraying the QD onto the MF and then Wiping on that way, may try that on a section off the hood or roof in a bit then.

I used it again on the car tonight, starting to get dark out so now 100% sure on results as I could not really see. But as discussed used a lot less than I would any other QD, 2 or 3 small spritz's per normal sized panel ( ie only just pulling the trigger on the 473ml version). Only needed one MF this way and it didnt get very wet, this way it tended to spot rather than streak when the product was first spread around ( first MF pass), but nothing that was not easily removable by the buffing pass. Less is definately more with this stuff, you dont need much. The amount I was using would not leave me confident to use this to remove any sort of surface dust even very very light dust from sat in the garage for a week. Strictly one for after a wash water spot removal I think.

Thanks for all the useage tips, at least it wont be going in the bin now!

I switched the new detail spray into a fine 4oz spray mister three short bursts over a 1/3 of a hood and a grey waffle weave spread it out absorber the extra and i follwedwith a quick wipe with a clean dry second buffing towel seemed to help/

On top of SG in the shade it still takes far more wiping than I'd prefer to remove and get a relatively streak free shine.
