Sonus Acrylic Spritz

While I am not a big QD fan, since I haven't found many I care for, I have to admit that Sonus Acrylic Spritz is changing my perspective on that. Recently I used this product on my wife's 03' Expedition. I was curious to see how well it would work considering that I did not have a true acrylic sealant like Klasse SG or AG SRP on it, rather, I had about 2 layer's of Meg's #21 synthetic sealant.



My impression is that this is yet another outstanding Sonus product. The smell is sweet, almost "fruity". The product is very economical to use. I used only about 2 oz on the entire SUV. I did not notice any streaking whatsoever and even 1 week or so after application, the paint looks deep and glossy. Most QD's tend to make things shiny without depth. This spray doesn't. It gives a depth combined with shine to keep the paint looking freshly polished and waxed and I could see where it would add "warmth" to synthetic/acrylic sealants.



Lastly, the protection left by the spritz seems to work better than advertised. I was in fairly heavy rain recently and the water sheeted off the car as if it had just been waxed.

I've got and use the Sonus Acrylic Glanz. This stuff should be more familiar to Klasse users...I consider it a mandatory item. I haven't used the Spritz, I'm sure it's great if it's anything like the Glanz.



Also: 1Z Raindance Perlglanz...another interesting and comparable product! The ultimate post-wash pick-me-up!

I really don't consider the Spritz as a QD, but rather a "topper" product to be used over the lsp. There are "families" of products that are similar such as Menzerna HGAS topper over FMJ or Wertstatt's Acrylic Gloss over Trigger. Basically, these toppers are diluted forms of the lsp. I'll bet there is some Klasse SG in the Spritz just like there is some FMJ in the HGAS, etc., etc.



I make my own "topper" for Klasse SG and use it quite often after the truck has been washed and is clean. Like most toppers, this homebrew does not clean that well so I use Poorboys SW or Duragloss' Fast and Easy Shine (or whatever it is called - brain dead right now!), to clean pollen, bird bombs and minor dust/road grime. But to rejuvenate shine and gloss over SG, I can think of nothing better (or cheaper) than 3 parts distilled water to 1 part SG mixed in a mister bottle. Others have different ratios so you will need to experiment until you get the formula to your likeing.



Usually, we have a bunch of SG left over since we use a little at a time and only a couple times a year. Mixing it in a homebrew and using it as a topper is a good way to use it up. I"ll bet the Sonus Spritz formula is not too far removed from this homebrew.

I love this stuff, and the protection it leaves by itself is incredible. Every bit as good as AG.

I have sonus acrylic spritz, but for basically the same task, I think I like AW better.
