Sonus Acrylic Glanz with Jeff's AJ?

I've got a bottle of Prime, AJ, and Acyrlic Gloss in the mail and am thinking about using them on my GTO after I polish with Menzerna. I have a full bottle of Sonus Acrylic Glanz on the shelf that I bought with my first two bottles of the Klasse Twins a couple of years ago and was wondering if anybody had used this product in conjunction with Jeff's Acrylic Jett? I'd like to use it up, and I don't see myself sealing the car with SG anytime soon. Thanks.

You should have no problem using Sonus Acrylic Glanz with AJ. You can even QD with Acrylic Spritz if you have some.

You better believe I have some! That's part of the reason I went ahead and ordered the AJ... I love Acrylic Spritz. I just wish it came in larger sizes. That, and I have a hard time going through it because I usually end up topping acrylics with a nuba and then switch to either carnauba spritz or another carnauba friendly QD. Although, at one point in time, I remember DavidB stating that Sonus AS was just fine to use over a carnauba and that the "acrylic only" recommendations were for marketing only. I've never tried it over carnauba though, because I love carnauba spritz for that.

I've used Acrylic Glanz after doing several polishes, and IMO I think it is a great product. It really works well in giving the just polished surface that little edge of smoothness. I like to use it instead of a full sealant when putting the carnauba wax on for the first time.

It is ashame that Sonus no longer produces it. Glanz is DIFFERENT than Acrylic Spritz. Glanz is a pure coating, as it will not clean to a measurable degree, as opposed to the acrylic and carnauba spritzes.

I probably will seek out a similar product when my glanz finally runs out. It is an excellent go between for either a carnauba or a synthetic lsp.

Why don't you just use Werkstatt's Arylic Glos, I believe it's cheaper then the other's you are talking about and does a great job.

AG is a 50/50 cleaner/acrylic QD (probably reason for cheaper price??).

Z8 and Sonus Acrylic QD's are pure or no where near 50/50 spray sealant/QD's.

Sometimes cleansing is not needed and gloss enhancement is all that is desired.

this is good news. I had asked Jeff about the mixing the Sonus with his products...he did not want to take a position one way or the other and I have a nearly-new bottle of AG.

thx.

I've used both Sonus Acrylic Glanz and Acrylic Spritz over Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett with no problems. I actually prefer the Sonus QD and booster to the Werkstatt Acrylic Glos . . . the Sonus sprays seem easier to spread and buff off, and I've had some minor smearing issues with Glos.

YMMV,

Good to know. I appreciate you mentioning it. I've always found AG to be a pleasure to work with and does a great job of freshening up!

Thx. :bigups

Really? Z8 over AJ sounds quite tempting. I have some of that I need to use up, too.

Z8 over AJ looks fantastic. No compatibilty problems and tones down the AJ gloss to a warmer presentation without losing sharpness of reflections.

Sonus Acrylic Spritz, FK#425, Crystal Mist and Z6 aslos looks great over AJ.

Now if only I can get a bottle of Trigger to test to see if it is a unique product or an alternative to Sonus Glanz, which is easily available. I too like to try new thing yearly to possibly change my vehicle appearance only slightly (topping Zaino). The same look, though great to my eyes, can sometimes create a state of ennui. :nervous2:

Pennypacker (Eric), I may have to take you up on your offer.

I use a QD in two very different applications. If I want gloss and extended protection, I use something like Menzerna HGAS or the Wolfgang spritz (used only on a spotless and clean vehicle). If I want something for light cleaning, I will always go for the PoorBoys SW.

I thought there was no question that AJt was as good as AJ and the only difference was the manner in which it was applied. Has any heard differently?
