Has anyone ever tried "SONAX Xtreme Wax 1 full protect"? It's the only carnauba wax you can easily get in Germany other than the - more than expensive - Swizöl wax.

Tuned_Smart said:Hello tonipieleanu and all,
Relating to your question about the Sonax Polish&Wax (2 or 3). I have tried the Sonax Polish&Wax 3 Progressive (sonax#202200) and found it to be really good at reducing medium scratches on the painted surface. I did a test on the hood of my old 1996 Pontiac and was surprised at how much scratches were lessen after about only 3 minutes of work per section of hood. I was using a random orbiter. I was testing the result of two SONAX products.
One half of the hood was done with the Sonax Polish&Wax 3 Progressive (final dry shine by hand). The other half was done in two parts, using the SONAX Paintwork Cleaner Intensive (Sonax # 302200) using the the random orbiter, followed by one application of the SONAX Xtreme Wax 1 full protect (Sonax# 216200) applied and polished by hand. The amount of scratch removed was better on the two step side (paintwork cleaner + paste wax). Durability of the wax protection was clearly way better there also. The liquid carnauba in the SONAX Xtreme Polish&Wax 3 progressive that I have is probably good for 4 to 6 weeks. The Xtreme Wax 1 full protect clearly offers a better durability.
