It's time to detail my car and my GF's dads car (for his birthday) and I recently had to trash all my old pads (moving in a hurry) and some of my detailing products. For my car I never had many swirls so I just used a PC w/ Vanilla Moose w/ a white pad for the polish/glaze and topped it pinnacle souv. Never had a need for an orange pad and the car came out nice.
But, now it is time to do someone else's car who has some light swirl marks. Its a 2005 Acura TSX in dark metallic gray and it needs to be done on Friday. So I hop on to autogeek (they are close) and start order away (somewhat limited funds here). Got orange, white, and gray pads.
For the polish I ordered Poorboy's World Professional Polish because I have heard some good things and luckily I was able to save the pinnacle from the move, but the vanilla moose got the axe.
Ok so after all of that, here is the question: I know the orange pad is used for getting swirls out and such, and the white is usually used for a polish. I feel I left something out when ordering. I have some megs swirl remover I could use with the orange pad, but I am not sure if it's any good. So can someone recommend something off autogeeks site or tell me if this is a good game play:
Wash
Clay
Megs swirl remover w/ orange pad
PB polish w/ white pad
Pinnacle souv with gray bad
Need some help, I'm not terribly experienced with anyones car other than my own and I want to give him the best shine I can.
