This weekend we had some friends over for dinner and hot tubbing. The first guests to show up caught me with the garage door up so they came in that way. As I was walking ahead of them to open the inside door to the kitchen for them, I heard a strange noise. I turned around to find one of my friends (a woman) carrying her coat over her arm and just dragging the metal zipper down the side of the vette. Totally, totally oblivious to anything. I walked over and yanked her coat out of her hand and said "Let me take that for you." I didn't mention it to anybody that night, and decided against telling my wife about it in the morning.



Sigh. A few scratches, not really bad and hopefully they are only scratches in the Zaino. Now I have a really good use for my new PC.
 
Damn some people are so clueless! Around my place I have to watch out for kids. My kids know that you look with your eyes and not your hands. When their friends come over to play I'm like you close the garage but now and then I'll be surprised and the first thing the little yard apes want to do is smear their greasy little mits around on the shiny black Porsche paint. Usually the mothers are pretty oblivious too and I'm sure they think I'm overeacting when I scream NOOOO! :scared

You showed alot more restraint than I know I would have...:scared I guess you could have always dropped an electrical device into the hot tub when she was in it lolol..
 
One of them even helps me wash and dry now and then. I showed him how to wax his bike with my leftover Mother's cleaner wax (from their clay kit) and he is well on his way to becoming a budding detailer. His brother and friend are big vette fans and I let them sit in the car, took pictures of them (emailed to them that night), and they were just so freakin' happy!



I decided not to overreact but to instead quietly fix the damage. I don't want to become "Crazy Uncle CyberCowboy" or anything.
 
You are a model for how to win friends and influence people. You have to watch these non Autopians every minute.
 
You need to recharge the batteries on your electric force shield bubble that normally surrounds your vette.



I would have tackled her, good job on restraining yourself :) But most of my friends are all very "informed" on my car situation, they know better :D

I knew I could count on the Autopian's for a shoulder to cry on. I did a little remedial work on it last night and it looks like the scratches were only in the Zaino. Thank goodness! I simply wiped a little alcohol (with an MF) in a couple of spots and after it dryed it looked good. Time to wash and re-Z. Wheewwww. :up
 
Cybercowboy... I feel for you. I had a neighbor do the same thing to me a couple of years ago. The butt head would lean on my car on purpose just to egg me on.



Some people's kids! Clueless!!!
