Something I have noticed- Good Looking Girls = Good Looking Cars

Sorry if this is another controversial thread, but I had been dying to get someones opinion.

So, as you guys know right now I work at a little car wash. I'm always out in front doing they drying/cleaning, so I always see which vehicle belongs to who.

After about 3-4 weeks of working there, I thought I was going crazy from what I had noticed, but I wasn't. :pound:

I kid you not, say we have 30 Good Looking Women that pull into the wash.

28/30 of them will be driving a mercedes,BMW,Lexus,Cadillac.

Now, I understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but sadly I will use todays standards which is = Average looking woman.

The same thing goes for them. 28/30 of them will ALWAYS have cheaper, beat up cars.

Honestly, I'm not really sure if I should feel like I am offending others or not, because this is not an opinionated thread because I have seen EVERY car that has come out of that wash and the pattern continues.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

The men in their lives, and whether they have a decent income or not. Most men that make a lot of dough tend to go with a better looking girl, and vice versa. Hence the nice cars.

Or those women consider their cars to be like the other stuff in their lives- get something nice and keep it nice.

Sorry if I sound just SOOOOO PC, but I know single women who have nice cars that are in great shape (without any male intervention).

And I know some women that not only are their rides in great shape, but they ain't to shabby either when it comes to "shape".

Very little about me at my advanced age is "PC"!

I always think the two should pretty much go hand-in-hand

I mean, nice cars and nice clothes, well-maintained vehicles and in-shape bodies, shiny cars and....well, you get the idea.

With guys I'd say it's not so much like that; I see some pretty sketchy-lookin' guys get out of nice rides, and some awfully out-of-shape men driving high-perf cars.

Heh heh, yeah...same here, but I've known, uhm...interesting (single/unattached) women who could rip the lungs out of the usual stereotypes. I kinda knee-jerk to "what would [she] think of that comment?" In this case, the answer would be "of course I bought a good car and of course I keep it nice! Why wouldn't I?!?"

It's a damn shame when the woman is near-Olympics ready athletic, dresses to the nines, but drives an abused luxury vehicle. I once met the said and had to make a :nono comment about it.

I've heard there was a statistic out that said attractive people tend to make more money in the same roles as less attractive people...

But yeah, I've noticed the same.

I knew this person fairly well and remarks were said in a good fun, but it was also the truth. Sometimes if a vehicle is a gift, it may be not be treated the same as if it were bought, as was her case.

That stat is often quoted in psychology circles and it seems to ring true for the most part.

A quick little follow up that made me laugh.

I was outside of a local Rita's WaterIce, which is an icecream type shop if you guys don't have them in your area- and I see this nice Nissan GTR sitting outside of a store thats targeted towards girls/women. I thought "Heh, with a car like that I'd park wherever I want too!". The store had signs that strictly said you can only park here for this store. So a mom and here little girl get into the nissan gtr and my friends walks up and says "yeah dude, they live down the street from me. That guy bought his wife that as a daily driver."

LOL, one of the fastest production cars in the world for a daily driver. Granted, if they can do it- GOOD FOR THEM! But I will tell you that it was a shocker

GoonOnFire- That sounds like some friends of mine; they're not really "hard core car people" but her daily is a Panamera 4. I get the feeling she takes a little [crap] about it, but I say "more power to her".

It was kinda funny yesterday, I was chatting with them in a parking lot...here they are with the Panamera and I was driving a Crown Vic...and a guy with an S8 pulled up so I started talking Audis with him, saying how I have the other silver S8 in town. Heh heh, he was kinda surprised that my pal's wife was the one with the Porsche and I was the guy with the Ford :chuckle:
