I got my elite towels from Autofiber the other day; they're very nice towels. I was going to order the Micro Restore anyhow, so ordering it along with the towels made sense in some way, I forget how now.

What I'm getting to is, the big blue drying towel from WalMart, in the auto section, is really dang close to a dead ringer for these towels in terms of construction. It's plush on one side, nappy on the other, and of approximately equal weight and softness.

I have two of them, both a couple months old and both used a few times, and I've removed the tags so I don't know if they're the same %s and of the same origin.

The only thing I've found about mf towels that I can say truthfully is that price and origin is not a reliable indicator of quality. I've had expensive towels that were awful, and expensive towels that are great; I've had cheap towels that were awful, and cheap towels that were great. I've purchased towels from specialty stores and online vendors; some were great, some were awful. I've gotten great towels at Pep's and KMart; I've gotten awful towels from Pep's and KMart.

Shrug.

Those two towels are mighty damn close to each other, I think.

I purchased the big blue drying towel from Canadian Tire and it's a dead ringer for the Magic/Miracle Towels I purchased from Autogeek just a lot bigger. Both are made in Korea and are a 70/30 blend.

I just picked up one of the Big Blue drying towels from WallMart and havent used it yet.

The Tag reads 70% Polyester 30% Polyamide. This thing does lint alot, considering I havent washed it yet. How many times should I was it Mosca before use and how do you dry it.

Do you really think 10% is going to really matter?

I washed mine once with very little detergent before using them. I've had absolutely no linting issues with them. The only towel I had serious linting issues with was a set of very expensive and highly regarded towels I got from Pinnacle in a Souveran Complete Care kit. I cut them into small squares and use them for spot applications of metal polish and things like that.

Supposedly there IS a difference between 70/30 and 80/20.

I'm not saying anything bad about the Autofiber towels, I haven't used them yet; I'm saying that visual and tactile inspection indicates a strong resemblance.

I have some of Autofiber's Elite buffing towels and they are perhaps the best that I have. For what they cost it is an impossible deal to match

$19.99 for 5 Elites, plus the Micro-fiber wash

I also find the Elite and Magic towels to be identical. I have them both mixed in the same bag, cannot tell the difference at all. They are some of the finest mfs I have :up

HERE IS SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT.................When I was in the garment center years ago I use to make clothing for high price stores and K-mart and Walmart in the same factory.Only difference was that they each got different labels. In overseas factories material comes in bulk I would not be suprised if it was the same way with MF towels. SAME FACTORY DIFFERENT VENDORS get the picture
