Had my digital camera friday night (workin way too late) so decided to take some pics of the inside of my shop! Take a look and tell me what you think--We have had this one open about 3-weeks and adding to it daily. Let us know if you have any ideas or have done something differently that works well for you :)

What is on the roof of that car? maby its water or some bad paint. Must be nice working in a controled enviroment. What kind of tunes you guys blastin from that sound system. The Kentucky Head Hunters :lmfao Just kiding.
Best of luck To you guys.

just wondering what kind of heater you use and are they expensive to use and maintain? Thanks for the help i have a similar sized garage and want to try and heat it and get the water out there for winter detailing

Jon

It's just a forced air gas furnace (the big box thing hanging from the ceiling)-- works great though--$45 a month in the winter (kept at 55) and kentucky winters are pretty mild-- but when you crank it up it helps dry a car pretty quickly.

just about--lol Got a contract where I wash about 8 Box trucks for a guy, he doesent care much on the sides of the box but wants the cab hand washed. still takes me 30 mins on a ladder even "with" the brushes to do the boxes and back. But the money is right so we do what we have to do-- Some of you post some pics of your shops so we can share idea's -- lol -- I showed you mine now --now you guys show me yours. :hah --

Your an inspiration to us all! the rolls just sets the bar~!!!

Jimmy.
Is your shop in a strip mall? How do you get the cars inside? Looks very nice. I bet you get alot of people standing at the window looking.

Well, sorta. It is a storefront, but curiously angled away from a major highway. But I do benefit from the location.

In the third pic, the Vette is pointed towards the front window. Behind the Vette is the wash bay (trenched down the center), and to the right is the 10x10 garage door. Works well for two cars - we can do three, but seldom worth the trouble.

We are contemplating expansion (to the rear), which would give us over 3000 sf, room for as many as seven cars, and three garage doors.

I've seen some crazy nice warehouses with glass walls and openings and its sick what they look like. Jimmy your setup looks great.
