How much did your race deck cost you? I'm really interested in getting this for my (parents') garage. Could you fill me in on any relevant info? Thanks.

Ah, another GTI owner!

The Race Deck looks great, the 337 ain't half bad either.

The 337/20th Anniversary have to be some of the best looking VWs to come off of the line in quite a while (ok, ok, the R32 is gorgeous too). Too bad the 337s were gone and the 20ths not out yet when I bought my car. :doh

Very Nice!

When did the 337's and the 20th Anniversary's come out? Just curious, whats the differences between them? My friends has an 04 or 05 Jetta GLI with those same 18" BBS wheels. Its a great car!

ZCarGuy - The 337 came out in 2002 and was only available in silver. The 20th came out in 2003, was available in Black, Yellow, and Blue. Both cars have the same ground effects package and bigger brakes sourced from the Audi TT. There are minor differences between the models, the 337 had BBS RC wheels (like the GLI) while the 20th had OZ (or Ronal) Aristos - a multispolke wheel. The 20th came with a sunroof while the 337 did not. The 20th has a black headliner while all standard GTIs (including the 337) before and after it only had gray (the R32 also has a black headliner). The 337 has body colored mirrors and the 20th has black mirrors. The 20th also had ESP (stability control) available - 2003 was the first year you could get that. Both cars have the same suspension and 180 horsepower 1.8t motor mated to a 6 speed transmission.

Oh, and the gauges in the 20th are slightly different, and the 20th also gut a numbered plaque on the dashboard.

And another one - the 337 had cupholders that came out of a slot in the dash above the radio, the 20th has the cupholders built into the center console.

That's all I can remember right now, I'm sure there are others. Well, I guess the differences aren't so minor after all. :o

Thanks! I was always interested in them and I could never tell the differences when I would see one or the other. Yeah, sorry for the threadjack! I was just curious.
