Some pics of my newest ride-

YNOT

Poorboys Rules!
Hey everyone. I just picked this gem up from a guy in California. I had always wanted an older C1500 or Tahoe in white, with a 4/6 drop on Salt Flats for as long as I can remember. I`ve owned 2 C1500`s over the past 25 years, but neither of them were white or done up exactly as I really wanted.

I mentioned to a friend a few weeks back about wishing I could find a nice 2 door Tahoe and she mentioned her ex had one he may be willing to part with. I figured it wouldn`t be anything spectacular but inquired anyway and whadda ya know, it was everything I had always wanted and more.

The mileage comes in at 259k on the original motor, but I went for it anyway since the truck overall was so clean for the most part. Absolutely zero rust, only 2 small door dings and some paint flaking off of the a-pillar and inside the fenders under the hood. Overall seems to be a solid ride.

So with that, I`ll leave you with some pics after I spent a solid day polishing on her. She got a work-over with Poorboys SSR`s, some PB White Diamond, and Natty`s blue.

Looks nice!

2 dr Tahoe $$$

only repeat problem is intake manifold gasket. And that`s probably been dealt with

nice ride! loved the 2dr models back in the day. and now too.. nice flat panels begging for a MarkII 21 to play

Glad to see you found something you wanted Tony. That hood is pretty special. Great to see you on the forum. Now, have you ever considered owning a 70` Mach 1? ;) Tony will get that one.

That is a seriously cool ride!
I had a few of those as company cars back when I used to manage a GMC dealership and hated to see the 2drs go away. The only thing wrong with my new ones back then was that they sat too high, and you`ve got that covered.

Thanks everyone. I haven`t driven my fusion for the last week since getting this. I missed the rumble of a 350 and this thing is just too cool to not wanna drive it everywhere.

Thanks! No 70 Mach 1`s for me...but someday maybe.

Nice! Maybe it`s just me, but that big rear cargo area is itching for some audio equipment :)

I needs something, that`s for darn sure. Right now it`s a factory radio with basically blown out factory speakers that crackle and rattle. That`s certainly on the agenda. But I need the space for my T-shirt business so it`ll have to remain fairly open for a tent and totes and such.

I`ve wanted one of those two door hoe`s since I was in high school. Looks like a clean one too. Those motors are so dang reliable and cheap to hop up. A 383 stroker would make that thing sweeet! Congrats!

YNOT- Hey, that`s really nice! Like the old-school wheels too, and !oh man! is it nice in white!

I simply *LOVE* the Old Body Style Tahoes...like my `00 Z71 so much I sold my newer (and much nicer) Yukon XLD.

I *REALLY* wanted a 2dr, but finally accepted that it wouldn`t work out for me what with the dog-hauling :(

FWIW, the stainless steel brake lines made for earlier Blazers fit just fine ;) The brakes aren`t great no matter what, but it did seem to help a little with pedal-feel.

EGR valves can be problematic as well, and the heater hose quick disconnect. Both very easy and simple to fix.

It looks great! I like the 2 door Tahoe`s!
