VAG = Volkswagen Audi Group.

I was thinking they were either Flik or Fondmetal.

I just looked for that wheel on Edge Racing, and it looks like it is no longer available. When you said they are Flik wheels, I thought I remembered the style, but I didn't.

Oh, if your A4 is a 1.8t, check the link in my sig. A very crude bunch of people, but tons of great info. If you have a sarcastic attitude, sharp wit, and thick skin you'll fit in just fine over there. :xyxthumbs

Try

Audizine.com, Great site, lots of knowledge about audis.

You are going to love the site

Hi from another A4 owner

IndigoGTI: I think the wheels are older model from FLIK as they're no longer available in edgeracing website...My car is 2.8 V6....my friend has a 1.8T VW Jetta which he details quite often too....I'll tell him to post some pics later..

Greg: The car has sport suspension already and I'm not thinking of lowering it anymore since my apartment driveway is pretty steep....

Alexaris: I go to audiworld.com and audizine.com quite often, however I don't post there, I just read the forums....

Here's mine after taking almost the same treat as raugusta's A4, except I'm using Meguiar's SMR, AIO, SG, and S100... sorry no close up pictures yet....

Looks great, but take off the lift kit. J/K- lowering springs would dramatically help the cars appearance.

You think that car's too high?? Ever own a Mustang? They should come with a set of Eibach's in a box in the trunk as a factory option!! My God the body roll on my car when it was stock height, I thought I was in a towncar....

I notice the wheels are in motion, but the pavement doesn't seem to be. How'd you rig that? :nixweiss

My guess is that when a car is in motion the spin around ^really^ fast, so you nead some wicked fast shutter speed (basically how fast the camera takes the picture) to completely stop them. Well that's assumeing that the car is moving along at some speed. I guess you could also get the wheels "stopped" by driving slower too. But what fun is that :0

The second part of the equation that I see in this picture is that even though the car is moving in real life, it's basically frozen in the picture. This is done by simply by paning the camera along with the motion of the car. You do this by starting to follow the car before you actually take the picture, and keep the camera moving along with the car, trying to keep the car in the same spot in the viewfinder. While making this motion you take the picture.

Now normally this will freeze the car, while making the background look all blurry. A cool effect if that's what you're going for, and no photoshop =]

In this picture, my guess as to why the car and the background are both basically frozen, instead of just the car, is that the camera was set at a decenly high shutter speed (i.e. how fast it actually took the picture). However it wasn't fast enough to stop the motion of the wheels also.

This is just my $0.02, looking at it from a purely technical perspective.

The car-in-motion picture was taken by a friend who is a photographer. The car was actually moving when the picture was shot.

Thanks for all the comments!!
