The following is what i just posted on another web site that i moderate so the stuff i say might not pertain to people here. link probably wont work from this site. either way, just wanted to share pics and experience with the Meguiars metal polish. good stuff :)

Im sure many of you already know about my incident with the stolen Apexi WS exhaust. For reference go here:http://www.preludeonline.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86674 well heres a update of whats up and things are looking sunny again.

very very fortunatley the same day my exhaust was stolen, i found a really used APexi WS exhuast for sale on ebay! its for an SH but all i needed was the muffler section so its all good. even better was the fact that the ebay auction did not include any hardware so it discouraged bidders. Lucky for me, the guys who stole my exhaust left the hardware behind like bolts and nuts etc. At the end i was able to get a used apexi WS exhuast for only $87 with around $30 shipping!

Well just this weekend i received it and finally got to put it on my prelude! Finally i can drive my car again!! it feels sooo great its like as if my own child finally came out of a coma or somthing.

The exhaust was in pretty bad shape cleanliness-wise but i was able to take care of that...

First i had to clean the whole thing with lots of water and a little help from Simple Green.

Though you cant really tell in this picture, the exhaust was very very dull for my tastes and had lots of baked on road grim. since im anal about cleanliness, this has to be taken care of!

With the help of Meguiars Gold Class Metal Restorer, i was able to bring its chrome like shine back pretty dang well. I started by hand doing the tip and then heading leftward. I stoped around 2 inches from the start of the right side of the muffler. can you see how its silver on the treated right side and more yellow on the left side there? MGCMS did a pretty good job :) oh, see the dremel on the back right on the floor? keep reading to see what i did with it

I applied some more of it on this flat area. reflections pretty good :)

The tip was THE most imprtant part that i wanted to bring restore since thats the easiest part to see of the exhaust. Doing it by hand wasnt enough so i took my Dremel and added a tiny polishing pad to it and used the dremel to slowly polish the tip. With the highspeed polishing action only achievable by a machine, it took out most of the baked on road grime and brought back a very very good shine :) Beleive me, these pictures dont do justice for what it looks like in real life:D

I have used the Meg Gold Class Metal Restorer before and it works pretty well. I would try the Eagle One Billet Metal Polish. Its a little more expensive but it blows Megs away...
