Some logo ideas for the new business. Suggestions and criticism welcomed!

I think you ideas are great.

Because your business name (south West) does not relate to any part of the detailing industry it may be wise to emphisise the Auto Spa and/or Detailing in the logo.

This is purely for brand recognition so that when people think of South West, Detailing and automotive appearance comes to mind.

In developing a logo it is wise to target you nieche market. If its big dollar clientel then delevop something like that would be used to seeing and can associate with. ie, simple, classic lines and colours as in boutique retail stores, restauants, cars, fashion lables etc. That way when they see your logo they will think that they have seen it before because it is like everything else that see. Therefore feeling comfortable with your business before you even get them on the phone or face to face.

Apart from results, the image we portray as professionals is paramount.

Good luck, its not easy.

IMHO, the curved letters and the abstract art makes it difficult to read at first glance.

A logo should be as simple as possible to be remembered. Think about the Target Logo, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or Kroger, etc.

Outline fonts tend to be difficult to read at a distance.

I would suggest a straight line

Southwest Auto Detail

Spa for you car

And then a simpler Logo to the left or right.

I know some people have said not to have too many fonts cluttering up the logo. I could find a way to combine the two better ones.

Does the circle with the 's and w' look better on the current one or the previous one.

Hey Auroav8,

When do you present them to him? Make sure to let us know what he went with.;)

Oh, I'll definitely let everyone know which one he picked. He is supposed to call me this week sometime, so we'll see how it goes.:xyxthumbs

This last logo looks great:xyxthumbs

The simplicity of the circle motif lends itself well to stand on its own once you are comfortable and established.

btw: as Comic Book Guy would say, 7AM-3AM the next day is the Longest Work Day, Ever
