Used my 2000 Sonoma work truck to practice on. Things has got no love for the last 5 years or so.
Washed with Dawn, Mother's clay bar, wash again to make sure perfectly clean, then 105 with 5.5 Cyan Hydro-Tech pad on a Griots RO and then 205 with Tang Hydro-Tech. Spritzed with IPA in between polishes.
Overall I think it went pretty well. Something I will just have to get a system down and get the hang of it. One thing that's kinda silly I had trouble nailing down was marker tape and overlapping. I tried strips of tape and then I tried little pieces to mark where I was polishing. Nothing seemed to click.
Finished it all up with a quick coat of Z-AIO, Z-5, then Z-6 and Z-8.
Also, I had some damage to the edge of one of my pads. I can snap a pic later, but it looks like maybe I was riding the pad a little TOO hard maybe.
Anyways, I am gonna finish the truck up this week, and hopefully by then things will be flowing a little smoother as I get some time on the polisher.
Sorry if I missed anything. In a rush!
