Some before and afters

blkyukon,

Those before and afters are AWSOME!!! :bow :bow :bow

Could you break down each product and pad with the PC speed used and how long you worked each in? Thanks in advance!

Again, those cars look at least 1000% better after you touched them.

Cheers,

how long do you work the products in before the marring is removed?

Anywhere between 2-4 mins a sections, and repeated if necessary or removed remaining scratches by hand if too deep for the PC to remove.

Lets see, as far as speed for polishing, I always use the PC between 4-5 (5.5 for tough spots). For finishing, between 3.5-4.5. Any speed higher for me, no matter how long I work the product, will creates a faint haze in the paint (seen only in direct sunlight).

With the above speeds I can get an almost a haze free finish with DACP on black.

If there are some swirls or scratches the PC can't get out, then I'll remove them by hand with a terry towel & some elbow grease.

Pads used on the Miata

PB PP with CMA orange pad

SSR1 w/Megiars yellow pad

PwC - finishing pad

For the BMW

PB SSR3 w/Meg's cutting pad

DACP CMA Orange pad

FP finishing pad

NXT finishing pad speed 2.5

Honda

SSR2 CMA yellow pad

FP CMA white pad

NXT finishing pad

Nice, whats your process for cleaning and protecting the convertible tops? Thanks

They were both in great condition...considering.

For the cloth on the BMW just used a water with a little bit of car soap and a nylon brush. And the Miata just car soap/water and nylon brush. They both cleaned up quite nice.

For protection I used:

Cloth - 303 Fabric Gaurd

Vinyl - PB Natural Look

if you work those by hand even with terry cloth would you work those in a circular motion or back& forth motion?

I go circular to spread it out then work it in back and forth - left/right/up/down - speed and pressure depends on the depth of the scratch.
