I finally got a chance to clean my truck up a couple days ago. Most people told me I should have gotten a professional to do it because the paint was in such bad shape and I planned on it at first but then decided to see what I could do on it myself. I got a UDM for Christmas and bought some menzerna SIP and 106FF polish and I had some old liquid mequires carnuba wax that I threw on top of all that for now. I think with this being my first time I got great results...Not perfect but 110 times better than before. The previous owner of this truck just seemed to really neglect how he washed this thing.

I'll start off with the first day I brought it home. The paint doesnt look so bad from a distance right?

And heres some afters. Unfortunetly I only got to do the hood, the passenger side, and back end before my buffer died but as soon as I get my replacement I'll finish it all out.

What was the temperature while you were working on your truck? I heard Menzerna doesn't like to work in cold weather and I had a little trouble with hazing when working in 30-40 degree weather.

Truck looks awesome by the way.

For your first time at the bat you did an AWESOME job. :goodjob

The SIP and 106FF is one of the best combo out there IMO . No need to take it to a pro , you got it down .

Cheers , Jean Paul

Steve,

unfortunetly it did die. Just quit working after about 4-5 hours of use, but I already got a replacement on the way. Great customer service.

Mhaynes, the temp was 30f outside and I did have trouble getting the sip off. It kept leaving a light hazing and i kept having to change to a clean microfiber towel occasionally.

If you are polishing after sip, you don't have to waste time wiping it off. 106 will take care of that.

Excellent work!

Sweet looking truck. You did an awesome job. You made an excellent choice in products .You are well on your way to being a pro !!! My Black Benz was like your truck look really nice until you sat it in the sunlight. Good work and good luck with the ride.
