so who should be our next president in your opinion?

i was curious on who EVERYONE is deciding on thus far. here are some current statistics on our current president, George W. Bush... American Research Group



p.s. what made me start this thread is i noticed that not very many people were out shopping on BF (or just in general these days), and just the cost of things like gas, etc, keeps going up...
 
While I am a registered Republican, I have crossed party lines in the past. This time though I am really at a loss as I am not fond of ANY of the front-runners from either party. I will say I am in the 74% who disapprove of the current administration :o

Seriously, though, political threads almost always spin out of control and get locked. As long as everyone is civil, there's no problem with the discussion, but if the thread starts to get out of hand, it'll be locked in short order.

Ah. I misunderstood the context of the smilies. Way to pick apart my statement though.



According to Dictionary.com, a superpower is "an extremely powerful nation, esp. one capable of influencing international events and the acts and policies of less powerful nations." Sounds fitting to me.
 
Although typically I am very cynical about these things and do not really support *any* candidate, Ron Paul has me intrigued this year.



With his strong Libertarian leanings, he's definitely got my attention. In fact, I decided to personally endorse him as candidate for 2008!



Go Ron Paul.
 
Its really up in the air still because they havent even finished getting the candidates, but i think juliani wud be a good president. This is random but i think the age for voting should be lowered so that people like 15 and up can vote.
