So what's your favorite QD, and why?

For some reason, I keep picking up different QD's. I'm now stepping into the boutique ones too. So far I have most of the off the shelf ones, E1 spray and wipe seems to be the best of these. I just recently got ONR, and mixed up QD from that. This is my current favorite. It cleans great even into heavier dust and grime, is really slick, and leaves a great shine. Awesome on windows too.



I still will be ordering QD from Poorboys, Chem Guys, Sonus and whatever else I find. I don't know why I got so addicted to QD's, I guess the ease of use and how they make the car stay in top shape between washes. (Also have a lot of the spray and waxes too, I need help! :help: )



ANyway, what do you use, like, hate etc. in the QD world?
 
Don't forget about ClearKote Quik Shine. I use a ton of that and Poorboys Spray & Gloss. Spray & Wipe when the vehicle is dusty.
 
I really like the Eagle One Wipe and Shine the best. I also use Aquawax as a QD as well, but of course it doesn't clean as well as the E1.

For cleaning nothing beats Poorboys Spray & Wipe but I am trying to use the ONR QD mix instead since it is tons cheaper.



For looks, ease of use, slickness, and compatability with every sealant and/or wax I have ever used QuikShine is by far my favorite. Some QD's may beat it for one phase but overall it is the best IMO.
 
For removing polish residue, cleaning, final wipedown - Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection



For use with carnauba - Clearkote Quik Shine



For use with sealants - Zaino Z6, Duragloss FC&S, and Adam's DS
 
AW is not a QD...is a spray sealant..if you want the Duragloss QD get the Fast Clean and Shine...it does mild to moderate cleaning and leaves a nice slick surface...it not a waterless wash type product..but does clean good like dust ..lite dirt..bird bombs..fingerprints..road grime...and the price is hard to beat

DG Fast Clean and Shine, Poorboys Spray and Gloss, and Cleakote Quickshine. Love those 3, Quickshine is like a legend lol:D , they all clean good and leave a nice slick and glossy finish. I also have some discontinued Wolfgang Spritz QD'er that I like, but those 3 are tops IMO!
 
I had about a 1/4 of a bottle of E1 WAUD left and tryed mixing in a little (1/4 capfull) ONR,

It seemed to work very well, it applyed very smoothly, left the surface slick,

and it cleaned well.

I also like NXT speed detailer for the look but I find its kind of hard to use, it doesnt spread very well.
 
I find I use sprays with wax or sealant as much or more than qd's now; but I still use quickshine and spray & wipe regularly. I love, love, love spray & wipe. :)
 
Here are the ones I’ve tried so far:

Z-6 – my favorite, but not very economical since I go thru QD like crazy. Haven’t tried Z-8 yet (can’t get over the sticker shock yet for one bottle). I tried to dilute Z-6 with water, but it started streaking bad for me.

PB Spray & Gloss – love this stuff. Leaves paint pretty slick and glossy. Bought a gallon even before I ever used it and haven’t regretted the purchase.

Meguires QD- decent but doesn’t knock my socks off

Duragloss AW – great stuff. I don’t really use it as a daily QD.

NXT QD- decent like the Meg QD.

I would like to try the ONR in a QD strength though. Hearing good things about it along with Quickshine.
 
Cool, you guys mentioned some that I forgot about that I want to try! I have heard great things about Adams, and eventually want to try the big Z stuff too.



Has anyone found that a certain QD works better than others on a black car?
 
Meguiars and Eagle one both work well for me and are readily available. I pick up the Meguiars at the local dollar store for $4 a bottle.
 
Clearkote QS - brilliant in between machine polishing steps - enhances the finish

FK1 425 - very slick and I like it on carnauba'd cars

Prima Slick - slickest of them all, best cleaning properties and you use less

DG Aquawax - yes technically its a spray sealant/wax but fantastic over AJT

Four star UGE - very slick, good to use during polishing to enhance the polish performance

Einszett raindance - it sure does boost protection and keep the water beading. used after washing with perls and the slickness never dies.



Also the best performer as a drying aid. The towel works better with it on the car.
 
I love Adams DS, Pooboys spray and wipe andn spray and gloss



Automagic bodyshine is a wonderful clay lube . . .



Automagic Magic Mist is a carnuba fortified QD, a wonderful compliment to nuba topped surfaces . . .



I also tried some FK425 that I got from FLATSTICK . . . its a keeper for sure.
