So many options! I'm overwhelmed.

Here's the shopping cart. Autogeeks has the best selection of products I specifically need, so I've consolidated everything into one shopping cart from their store. The only catch? The Meguiar's promotion only applies to chemicals, so my current shopping cart (two 32oz bottles of M105 and M205) essentially awards me with $35 credit towards any other Meguiar's chemical product. Any suggestions? Tire dressing? Glaze?

Anyways, here's my cart. No sealant was included because I still have a full bottle of NXT, half a bottle of Mothers Cleaner Wax, and ZFX/Z5/Z6 (old but might still work).

Meguiar's Dual Action Polisher G110 with 2 Free 5.5in LC Orange CCS Pads

3 Pack 5.5in LC White CCS Pads

3 Pack 5.5in LC Gray CCS Pads

32oz Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #105 Ultra-Cut Compound with Free 7in Meguiars Cutting Pad

32oz Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #205 Ultra Finishing Polish with Free 7in Meguiars Finishing Pad

Black WOW Exterior Trim Restorer

22oz Stoner Invisible Glass Cleaner With Rain Repellent

16oz 303 Aerospace Protectant

[Some $35 or less Meguiar's product]

Edit: Lets tack on a 64 oz. Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #7 Show Car Glaze to that list. It's essentially free with the Meguiar's rebate.

Now I just need some kind of leather treatment and tire/wells dressing. Last minute suggestions?

Eh.. budgets are more guidelines than rules. ;)

On a more serious note, I evaluated my financial situation and decided that if I can detail even one other car this summer, I'll make up the cost and be satisfied with my purchase.

So...what's that going to be, about $80-90 over your initial budget, after you add the leather and tire dressing?

And that's a *good* thing. C'mon, now, Setec, when's the last time you ordered detailing supplies and didn't go a bit over budget. Heck, going only 80 bucks over budget on an order for me is remarkable self-control. :D

I'll tell you... the hardest part is deciding whether the free shipping and Meguiar's promotion is worth going for 32oz and 64oz products at Autogeek when I could get the 8 and 16oz samples from ADS for a little bit cheaper.

I'm adding Lexol cleaner and conditioner to the cart as well as a sheepskin wash mit. I'd love to add the Meguiar's Hyper Dressing for the wells and tires, but a 128oz container is going a bit too far. I sure wish ADS had a free shipping promotion going on.

Budget? What's a budget? I have so much stuff I'll never be able to use it. I was mostly just checking my math.

I find Hyper Dressing doesn't last very long on either (although it is fun until it rains the way it looks in the wells). The Optimum Tire Shine is very nice (won't help you in the wells, although I guess you could try diluting it...)

I'm planning on just picking up some cheap tire foam at Walmart to finish off the wells and tires. A good prep of the wells with Simple Green should do all the necessary cleaning.

Order placed... Total came out to around $320, and I can expect a check from Meguiar's for about $30 in several weeks.

Good luck on your "paint restoration". Those scratches on the bumper should come out ok, if you need some good cutting power above and beyond what you already purchased, I would highly recommend 3M Compounds. I have a Medium compound that I have been using for a while and it really cuts well by hand, its sick on a PC.

I can get you the part number if you need it, I know it is NOT 3M Scratch Remover, that's a different product.

Ok, good deal (although I'd be a little :grrr about having to wait for the rebate check). Let us know how it comes out when you're done!

My experience with rebates is that you never get a check until you call and harass them about it several times, then it takes another four weeks to get the check. Hate mail in rebates.
